Schools
All members of OsEAN can participate in the Students Exchange Programme.
Schools that want to do this:
- Send an Email to the OsEAN Office and ask for attending the Office will send a form
- The school fills in the form of Exchanging-Schools and send it back to the OsEAN Office
- The school will be put on the website of OsEAN.
The Programme offers students the possibility to visit other schools and participate in their courses for the duration of 2-5 days.
The Exchange students do not have to pay for any of the courses at the hosting school. However, they will have to cover the expenses for traveling, accommodation and living during the exchange week on their own.
The hosting school has to organise a schedule for the exchange student(s). The classes/courses have to be (approx.) on the level of osteopathic education of each student or below. Courses above the level might lead to frustration which is undesirable, while courses on a level below will probably show a different approach to a topic and thus still be valuable for the student.
How it works
If a student wants to participate in OsEAN’s Students Exchange Programme, they will have to contact the Students Exchange Coordinator at THEIR school first. Students should not make the initial contact with the hosting schools. The student has to fill out the online application form and it will be send to the Coordinators of the sending and the hosting school.
Hosting School’s Responsibilities
- To accept or decline applications sent through sending school
- To find appropriate class for the student(s)
- To find hosting student(s) to accompany the sending student(s), for accommodation, meeting points and throughout the exchange period in the school.
- To inform teachers and other students that there will be a guest student from another country
